Rock the Machine | Document x RBV (live radio shows)

We’re teaming up with our pals at Govanhill-based community station, Radio Buena Vida, for two live shows of music and chat, including a festival preview and a celebration of politics and protest in song.

We join Document programmer and Neighbouring Sounds host, Osh Kealy, to discuss this year’s programme alongside some of the sounds and stories that have soundtracked recent editions of the festival.

#2 Rock the Machine | Document x BVR – Broadcasting live: Wed 27 Jan, 1-3pm, www.buenavida.co.uk

A 2-hour special looking at the role of song in politics and protest. Helped by contributions from special guests, the show will cover music from trade unions and street protest to dub-poetry and pop, and consider the different kinds of political work that songs can do.
